School affected due to shortage of books in Lamjung

Textbooks of IX and X are not available in Beshisahar, Bhoteodar and Sundar Bazar of Lamjung

 district.  Report said, quoting students.

The new academic session began three weeks ago, but students here have not yet  got their

 textbooks. How will they get the books when even district-based authorized  dealers of Sajha

Publications, the state-run printing house entitled with the task of  publishing school textbooks,

do not have them?


The dealers claimed that Sajha has not made the textbooks available to them.  Only textbook

of  compulsory English is available in the market, owner of a bookshop said.

"Study has been affected as textbooks are not available in the market," A X grader student

 from earthly paradise school, Besisahar said.

NC doesn’t want election, says UML Minister

A minister representing the Unified Marxist Leninist (UML) party in the cabinet has accused the Nepali Congress (NC) of delaying the elections for the Constituent Assembly (CA).
Addressing a function to inaugurate the first general meeting of the Tamu museum in Lamjung, Friday, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prithvi Subba Gurung, claimed that the NC does not want to go to the elections without first finalising its unification.
Minister Gurung added that since NC thinks that it will lose if it goes to the polls without unification, it is not keen for the elections.
Minister Gurung also blamed the NC for the non-improvement in the situation of security. He said the Home Minister has failed in his job.

NTC to launch mobile service

Besisahar, Lamjung. Lamjung one of under develop district of Nepal is soon to be connected with mobile services through NTC network. Rudra Kumar Shrestha, District Head of NTC. said that;” tower is already built in Bhimsenthan in Besisahar and only BTS equipment is to be installed which will be completed in week time”. He further said, “The other tower is building in sundar bazaar”, one of the main markets of Lamjung.
According to NT. They might begin their service in month time. They said that they have received more than 8000 forms for the Sim card among them around 2000 through internet. But in initial phase they will distribute 1000 sim card within month time. And 2000 CDMA mobile phone and 500 CDMA Phone accordingly.

Petroleum pump banned

Nepal Oil Corporation has taken a stern action against an oil-supplier in bhotewodar, Lamjung district, accusing it of selling adulterated petroleum products. A joint team of NOC and Democratic Consumer Rights Forum (DCRF), a local consumer rights group, sealed the petrol pump of Bhotewodar Oil Supplier on Friday. "While carrying out inspection, we found highly adulterated diesel being sold by the petrol pump," said a member of the team. "We will take stringent action against those involved in the illegal act," the member added. source kathmandu post
